Sad News about Hawk: Well, I am sorry to say that our little Coopers Hawk didn’t make it. I am heartbroken. Mike was outside doing lawn work, and he found it in a narrow space between our house (deck/porch) and where our RV is parked. I spoke to the bird gentleman again tonight, and he told me that our neighbor called him and told him that she saw the hawk in her yard yesterday. I think he must have died today then. One of his wings was sort of sticking out, and he said that it definitely sounded like some sort of respiratory problem…. So, even though I am sad, I guess there was really nothing that we could have done for him. Here is one last photo I have, taken yesterday AM when he was under the utility trailer out back. PS, I did take photos tonight after we found him, but I won’t be posting them. I know it sounds gross to take photos of a dead bird, but I was so fascinated by him.
